“ Sushi Lab Rooftop is such a cool spot. The vibe up there is amazing — great for a chill night out or a fun date. The sushi was super fresh and really well put together. Everything we tried looked and tasted great. But the real winner? The matcha creme brulee. I wasn’t expecting much, but it completely blew me away. Creamy, not too sweet, with that perfect crispy top and just the right amount of matcha flavor. So good. The staff was really friendly and the service was solid. Definitely planning to come back! ”

“ An outstanding gem right off Broadway near times square, this cozy rooftop offers high-end, fresh sushi... some of their fish is flown in from Japan. Get the omakase for sure! It is worth every penny. The meal will set you back 100 or more per person but it us NYC and for the quality of fish and flavor combinations, it is well worth it! The gold digger was a great add-on to the lab experiment omakase! ”

“ We had a lovely evening at the lab. The sushi rolls and appetizers were fantastic. The service was fantastic. The atmosphere was fantastic. However, the reason I cannot give five stars is due to the matcha creme brulee. Looks can be deceiving (picture below). The consistency was similar to curdled milk. In conclusion, we would highly recommend dining at the lab (except for the matcha creme brulee). ”

“ I must say its a cute sushi rooftop restaurant in the heart of the city ,the place was beautifully decorated (it gave off oasis vibes). the sushi was good (in an average way - I have had better), the service was very fast and the waiter was very sweet. The only downside in my opinion is that there isn't a variety on the menu or they won't make any adjustment to the way they prepare their rolls (no cream cheese lol) and the food was a tad bit over priced. ”

“ Came to Sushi Lab for Restaurant Week. Tried the baked crab tacos and crispy rice for appetizers which were delicious. For the main course we had the 10 piece omakase and shrimp truffle pasta. The sushi was delicious. The pasta was very heavy with truffle. Now if you’re a truffle kinda person, this pasta is yours. In my opinion, the pasta was just okay. Bites of pasta and then bites of sushi did not go well together. Lastly, for dessert we had the nyc cheesecake which was okay and the matcha creme brulee which was amazing. The place is very romantic and is great for a date night or any kind of celebration. I would def come back again. ”

The spicy tuna crispy rice and the salmon belly and poached Asian pear appetizers are a must try! Every specialty roll we tried was packed with exceptional flavors that enticed our taste buds. The rooftop also had heat lamps that keep you warm during the winter months. I can’t wait to come back and try more rolls. ”
